( ANSAmed) – ROME, FEBRUARY 13 – Abu Dhabi had a record year for tourist in 2017, with a 9.8% boost in visitors to the United Arab Emirates’ 162 lodging structures, for an overall of 4,875,499visitors, inning accordance with hospitality sector figures released by the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) of Abu Dhabi.
Itstated the variety of visitors who remained in the location of Abu Dhabi City in 2017 increased 10.3%, for an overall of 4,295,030visitors in the location’s 131 hotels and apartment-hotel structures, amongst an overall of 26,821spaces.
DCT Director General Saeed Ghobash stated the variety of visitors to the 3 areas of the United Arab Emirates continues to grow every year, which he stated is a testimony to “our determination to make Abu Dhabi a must-visit destination”.
Hestated Abu Dhabi has “one-of-a-kind” cultural archetypes, which those, “combined with the variety of landscapes, cultural and historical sites, the presence of numerous entertainment structures for families, and business opportunities, continue to stimulate tourism and will help us to reach growth of 11% annually, ultimately reaching the goal of 8.5 million (visitors) by 2021”.
Theleading 3 foreign markets for Abu Dhabi in 2017 were China (up 60%), the United Kingdom (up 13%), and India (up 11%).
Therewere an overall of 62,797Italian travelers.
