LOS ANGELES – Cheaper is not all the time higher, in response to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers found $700,000 in counterfeit luxurious cosmetics being offered for a serious low cost, a few of which examined constructive for a “high level of bacterias and animal feces,” in response to ABC 7 in Los Angeles.
LAPD’s Anti-Piracy Unit started an investigation into the sale of the allegedly counterfeit cosmetics after clients referred to as the precise beauty corporations complaining of bumps and rashes from the merchandise they’d bought in Santee Alley.
Undercover officers bought the merchandise and despatched them in for testing. Some cosmetics yielded proof of micro organism, human waste and animal waste, in response to LAPD.
According to ABC 7, of the 21 companies raided and cited, six of the house owners had been arrested. The relaxation had been issued cease-and-desist orders.
Photos posted to LAPD Captain Mark Reina’s Twitter present some merchandise intently resembled Kylie Cosmetics, NAKED and different common beauty corporations.
