The American co-owner of a fish and chip shop has landed the prime catch in Visit England’s Tourism Superstar awards.
Duane Dibartolomeo, who runs the Grosvenor Fish Bar in Norwich, was voted to the top slot in the award, beating off competition from nominees in Hull and Blackpool.
Mr Dibartolomeo, originally from Miami and latterly from New York City, bought the shop five years ago and was nominated for the award by Visit Norwich.
He said he was “absolutely delighted to win” and thanked customers for their “overwhelming support”.
